Guru Disha is a CAT preparation course for those of you who prefer the learning environment of their homes. It takes the personalized element of the MBA Guru course right to your doorstep. This course focuses on concept strengthening in Reading Comprehension (RC), Verbal Ability (VA), Quantitative Ability (QA) and Data Analysis (DA). This is achieved through Guru-fundae skill-modules that serve as a simple, comprehensive and precise reference material and help you develop a strong understanding of the basics. Absolute progress is tracked by developing personalized skill tests by gauging your skill level and then adjusting the test levels according to your skill level; and relative progress is tracked through full-length tests. Speed building is done through short and intense topic-wise tests.
Concepts in English (VA and RC) and Math (QA and DA) will be developed through the Guru-fundae books and web-based interactions. The VA module will focus on developing grammar fundamentals, vocabulary fundamentals and logical reasoning fundamentals as applicable to the context of the CAT / other MBA entrance exams. The RC module will focus on developing reading speed, passage comprehension and techniques to tackle the different question types in CAT / other MBA entrance exams. The QA module will focus on developing advanced techniques to tackle Arithmetic, Algebra and Geometry questions in CAT / other MBA entrance exams. The DA module will focus on developing Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency skills and techniques to tackle the different questions types in CAT / other MBA entrance exams.
Every topic in VA, RC, QA and DA will have short and intense tests, which will measure your speed development. The basis of your speed development will be the Guru-gati Tests.
A series of 10 full length tests, developed by management graduates from the IIMs and ISB will help you measure your performance (speed and accuracy) against other CAT aspirants. You will enter your responses to each of the tests (as per schedule) on our website and will receive comprehensive online feedback. These tests will allow you to compare your preparation levels with your toughest competitors from India's leading undergraduate institutes. The basis of your relative performance will be the Guru-gyaan Tests.
