A brief idea about the flagship program of MBA (IB) is given below:
It is a six trimester general management programme with a focus on international business. This means, besides doing a general MBA (as is done in other B-Schools), IIFT students are exposed to the international perspectives of various subjects by virtue of their doing courses like international marketing, international finance, international strategy and the like.
The first year, consisting of three trimesters, is a core course which encompasses all the basic functional areas of management. In the third trimester, students are taught the nuances of international aspects of these functional areas. The second year is when students get to choose their preferred area of specialization viz. marketing, finance, trading or systems.
Number of students at Delhi Campus-111 and at Kolkata Campus-57
Highest Domestic Salary = Rs 18 lakh p.a.
Average salary=7.55 lakhs per annum
A total of 62 companies recruited 151 students from both the campuses put together.

The admission test is a multiple choice objective type written test (in English). Duration of the test is two hours and will cover English Comprehension, General Knowledge & Awareness, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Analysis.
Based on marks obtained in written test, candidates are called for Essay-Writing, GD and PI to be held in January/February at Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow and Mumbai.

It is a nine trimester general management programme with a focus on international business. The programme aims at providing a comprehensive coverage incorporating all the important areas and disciplines relevant to international business activities. The syllabi for MBA (IB) compares favourably with syllabi of some of the world’s best International Business Schools.
