It is a six trimester general management programme with a focus on international business. This means, besides doing a general MBA (as is done in other B-Schools), IIFT students are exposed to the international perspectives of various subjects by virtue of their doing courses like international marketing, international finance, international strategy and the like.
The first year, consisting of three trimesters, is a core course which encompasses all the basic functional areas of management. In the third trimester, students are taught the nuances of international aspects of these functional areas. The second year is when students get to choose their preferred area of specialization viz. marketing, finance, trading or systems.

On the basis of Written Test, Essay-Writing, Group Discussion, and Interview
Based on marks obtained in written test, candidates are called for Essay-Writing, GD and PI to be held in January/February at Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow and Mumbai.

On the basis of GMAT, score of which should not have been declared before 1 st January, 2008 and should be received by the institute latest by 31 st March, 2010.
