Situated at the outskirts of the historic and culturally rich city of Lucknow, the Indian Institute of Management (IIML), was established in 1984, by the Government of India, as a national level school of excellence in management science. IIML is also entering into collaborative arrangements with leading business schools and research centers in India, Europe, Canada, South and Southeast Asia. The institute has got one more campus at Noida. The NOIDA Campus is being developed as a centre of excellence in the area of executive education.

PGPM:
This program is a two year, full time, residential program. The students meeting the program requirements are awarded the Post Graduate Diploma in Management. Courses are redesigned every year with feedback from the industry. New courses are introduced at an impressive rate each year. The PGP also prepares the students to take up multiple responsibilities and energizes them for the fast-track performance expected of them. The curriculum, by any standards, is rigorous. Assignments, live and simulated projects, periodic evaluations and demanding academic schedules ensure that the student develops skills in managing time and working efficiently and effectively.
PGPABM:
The two-year Post Graduate Programme in Agribusiness Management is a full -time residential course designed with the specific objective of developing agribusiness leaders, entrepreneurs, and intrapreneurs with a vision, competence and appropriate attitude for promoting/ growing agribusiness and agro-based enterprises with a strong international orientation.
Minimum 3 years of Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized University in India or abroad with 50% marks is required for applying for PGP programs. For the FPM program, you need a Masters’ degree or its equivalent in any discipline with minimum 55% aggregate marks OR a Bachelors Degree in Engineering with 60% marks or equivalent grade point average. The cut-off dates are the same as CAT cut-off dates.
IIM Lucknow accepts CAT scores for short listing the Candidates for the GD/PI round for both the PGP and PGP-ABM programmes. For the FPM program, candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria stated above are required to take Common Admission Test (CAT) held by the IIMs. Alternatively, those who have qualified GATE, GRE, GMAT and JRF (UGC/CSIR) examinations can also apply in the relevant area of specialization. The total strength of the 2009 batch which participated in placements was 267. At present, the student strength of the institute is 370, which it plans to increase up to 420 by next year.
Program fee for PGP 2009-11 is Rs 4 lac/annum for the PGP and PGP –ABM programmes.

The students belonging to the Agribusiness stream also performed well to bag offers from major recruiters like ITC, Coca-Cola, PepsiCo and Agro-tech Foods with DCM Shriram offering international locations during the placement process.
In addition to these, this year more than 50 companies recruited from IIM Lucknow for the first time. Some prominent ones among these are Jaypee Capital, Siva Ventures, L’oreal, Tholons Consulting, Virgin Mobile, Religare Securities, Darashaw & Co, Allegro Advisors, Eli-Lily, Jindal Steel, Kellogg, Maersk and Bharti Telesoft.
IIM Lucknow also hosted more than 14 PSUs, including some of the Navratna PSUs, in this placement season. Some prominent ones among these are Bank of Baroda, Union Bank of India, ONGC, SIDBI, BHEL, NTPC, SAIL, GAIL and Coal India. PSUs were well received by IIM Lucknow students with 65 offers – highest across all IIMs, being accepted during the placement season.
