Nirmit Goel, MBA from S.P.Jain and one of the chief mentors at MBAGuru, conducted an eye-opening session on the fundamentals of Group Discussion for the 3rd year students of MSIT. More than 80 students attended the session and found it highly educative and beneficial. Most of the myths that revolve around GDs were broken and the students got the real perspective.

The success of the session lied in the level of interaction during the session. The ease and comfort with which the students came up with their true apprehensions speaks volumes about the bond that students can form with MBAGuru faculty. This is evident from the fact that when the faculty asked the students to raise their hands if they had a problem of hesitation, almost 90% hands went up. The rest 10% were also hesitatingly half-way up. And they were thankfully relieved when Nirmit Ma’am not only broke the secret that “Hesitation” is natural but also gave tips on how to use it constructively as a tool to crack the GD.
The session brought the students in such a state of high that they wanted to start preparing for GDs immediately and wanted to know where they can get practice sessions. MBAGuru welcomes all of you to walk into any of our centres to find out more about the available programs.
The faculty too completely enjoyed interacting with such enthusiastic students at MSIT. The informal interactions with students that preceded and followed the actual session displayed the pleasure on both sides.

To keep the students in a learning mode, Business World, the largest selling business magazine in India, was distributed to all who attended the session. (Business World has an exclusive tie-up with MBAGuru for MBAGuru students).
The session is a result of the valuable collaboration between MBAGuru and the administration at MSIT. The Placement Director, faculty and staff at MSIT have always shown enthusiasm towards such educative sessions and motivated us to design customized programs for the institute’s students. However, the session would not have been possible without the dedication and hard-work of Swati Sachdeva and Snigdha, the student coordinators for the 3rd Year students at MSIT. Credit also goes to Mr. Gaurav from the placement cell to schedule and organize such a helpful session. Last but not least, this session would not have been possible in this spirit but for the ever so co-operative MSITians, who are already part of the MBAGuru family, in pursuit of success at IIMs, for spreading the word about the session among the students and ensuring that MBAGuru visits their campus.
