I last wrote to you about the Top-2 Test to assess your priorities. And I hope you have made an effort to re-prioritize things and realign your efforts with your goals.
But how do you stay committed to your priorities?
How do you stay at it in the face of so many distractions that you have?
How do you ensure things won’t be back to the earlier inertia-mode by next week?
Let me share something that has worked for me.
One of the best ways of staying committed to something is to write it down. Even better, if you can share it with someone you trust.
The precise reason why I shared my goal of reaching out to you regularly via mails was to increase my chances of being able to do that.
By sharing my commitment to a priority, I have committed myself that much more to it.
So, if there is something you wish to achieve – write it down now and if possible, share it with someone you trust, someone who would not judge you for it, someone who would probably be happy to help you achieve it, and very happy to see you achieve it.
About the author: Deekshant has sleep-walked through several 100 and 99.9 %iles in practically every section of the CAT. And that’s why every MBAGuru student has direct access to him via mail and Telegram. Oddly, he somehow also finds the time to write songs professionally. And yes … almost missed this … he is an alumnus of IIT Delhi & IIM Cal
