Many of you have been asking this question on various forums. The most effective strategy for revision at this stage of CAT Coaching, as shared by several MBAGuru students from the earlier years, is to use the Class/Home sheets of all 3 skill areas/sections.
With a total of around 50 sheets (excluding ADAPTIVE modules) and say 8 days to go, you should perhaps be looking at covering 7 sheets across all 3 skill areas daily. The sheets you did much earlier in the CAT coaching will take more time as compared to the ones you covered more recently. Some sheets should be a breeze given your relative strength in those. In any case, do not spend more that 2-3 hours a day for this – remember, this is more to gain an overall sense and confidence and not to solve a lot of questions.
The MBAGuru class/home sheets are the most comprehensive, exhaustive sheets for CAT Prep (anywhere, ever!!), compiled through a multi-step iterative process from the best in-house sources and actual past tests such as the CAT. This is something you may have already realized during your CAT coaching process. These sheets contain the crux and generally prove to be an excellent mode for a quick and extremely effective revision.
You do not need to solve each and every question – as you would be able to recall many of them. But going again through the entire process of:
solving some random questions while browsing through others
making use of options
structuring of DILR sets
making a list of important formulae/pointers as you move along in say QA
revising concepts
will make you feel more confident before going into the exam. And isn’t that the point!
Also, make use of the Telegram groups or reach out to your mentors for any help with your doubts/queries.
Stay focused, stay calm, rock it!
About the author: Deekshant has sleep-walked through several 100 and 99.9 %iles in practically every section of the CAT. That he is a cricket fan and he writes okay is evident from most of his posts. 1000s of our students swear that he can motivate almost anyone to double his/her percentile through very simple yet powerful inputs. And that’s why every MBAGuru student has direct access to him via mail and Telegram. Oddly, he somehow also finds the time to write songs professionally. And yes … almost missed this … he is an alumnus of IIT Delhi & IIM Cal
