A lot of aspirants who are contemplating taking a shot at the next year’s CAT feel as if it’s a long way off. And they have reasons for it.
For one, 2021 is the next calendar year and that makes a huge psychological difference. And then of course, when we have so much to distract ourselves with right this moment, it is not easy to see something over 1 year away as being urgent.
So naturally, thoughts like how to prepare for CAT get pushed to the backburner simply because they don’t seem urgent.
But wait! Urgent is not the same as important, is it?
And if it is important then you have to at least think through the best way to crack it!
Seen another way, CAT-21 is around 400 days off – give or take a few, depending on when you are reading this article.
A solid CAT Prep would mean around 1000 hours of work – again, give or take a few 100 hours, depending upon what your strengths & weaknesses are. (Identifying your strengths & weaknesses and ADAPTING your entire CAT Prep around the same infact lies at the phenomenally successful ADAPTIVE Prep for CAT at MBAGuru!)
Every hour you put in today takes off that 1 hour from 1000 hours you need to put in.
More time invested now means less would be needed later.
So, even if you are debating as to when you should begin your formal CAT coaching, or deciding which is the best CAT coaching for you, it is important that you start that long journey now. Start by putting in some regular effort in your weaker area – be it Quant or Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension.
CAT-21 isn’t as far off as it may appear at first.
