So, cracking the CAT is your dream but the odds don’t look that good, eh?
Leicester’s run during the 2015-16 Premier League season defied the odds, literally. They had 5,000-to-1 odds of winning the title that season. And yet, they clinched their first trophy in team history.
(5000 to 1 is similar to only 45 students out of 2.25 Lakhs succeeding at CAT! The probability of success at CAT is much much higher than that.)
The movie Moneyball starring Brad Pitt is based on an odds-defying true story.
And you would seen many a mind-boggling upsets in any of the recently concluded international sporting events. They exemplify that on any given day (which reminds me of another fabulous movie you should watch if you already haven’t – Any Given Sunday) the underdog can be the winner and historical data can be consigned to the dustbin.
Sports, and life, is filled with examples of people and teams that beat unimaginable odds.
The one common thing among all of these champions is that none of them believed the odds. They just believed in themselves.
And all of them took their best shot at it. (That’s the if part of it – you always have a shot, if only you believe and are willing to give it your best.)
No one is guaranteed a win – not the most talented, not the best prepared, nor the luckiest ones either.
In CAT also – no one is guaranteed a win – not the usual 99%iler in the AIRCATs, not the last year’s CAT toppers, nor the ones most consistent during their entire CAT online coaching. They stand a better chance theoretically – but there is no guarantee unless they can play well that day. But you always stand a chance to win, and can increase it significantly if you complement your CAT coaching with the belief that you are super-ready to own the day.
Swing hard, swing big, and believe that you will hit a home run!
