Hereās one exercise I do every year, and it has been super-effective for me. So, I encourage you to think about giving it a shot. And it doesnāt need a gym, incase you are worried about the lockdown š
Try & list down ALL the things you want to do over a finite period ā say the nextĀ 1Ā year. Feel free to write down everything, however big or small it maybe.Ā From learning to play the guitar to heading the cultural festival in your college, from writing a book to having your own youtube channel with enormous number of followers. Write down everything that youĀ wantĀ to achieve over a defined, finite period of time.
Now re-list the items in decreasing order of priority, the most important one at theĀ topĀ and so on.Ā Now put down theĀ number of hours you are investing on a daily basis in theĀ top-2Ā things on your list.
For you to have a great chance to achieve theseĀ 2Ā things, anywhere over 80% of your time should be invested across theseĀ 2Ā TopĀ things.
Ensuring that we at MBAGuru adapt to the new normal post Covid19, and use it as a big opportunity to improve the experience for our students significantly, is one of the 2 things for me.
Now, is making it to aĀ topĀ MBA college (B-School) one of theĀ top-2Ā things you want to do over the nextĀ 1Ā year? Are you investing enough time in it – every single day? Or are you just sitting and worrying about it using this situation as an excuse to delay your prep or put it on hold?
How you think is very likely to influence, if not decide, how the next 1 year pans out for you.
About the author: Deekshant has sleep-walked through several 100 and 99.9 %iles in practically every section of the CAT. That he is a cricket fan and he writes okay is evident from most of his posts. 1000s of our students swear that he can motivate almost anyone to double his/her percentile through very simple yet powerful inputs. And thatās why every MBAGuru student has direct access to him via mail and Telegram. Oddly, he somehow also finds the time to write songs professionally. And yes … almost missed this … he is an alumnus of IIT Delhi & IIM Cal š
This is a really helpful blog.
Thank You.
