The world, including India, has locked down to tackle the pandemic. Online CAT Preparation could be the new normal in the foreseeable future.
It has been one of the most challenging weeks for us at MBAGuru.
It has been one of the most exciting weeks for us at MBAGuru.
The challenge is external – it is not something we created, or have control over. The only thing we have control over is how we respond to it.
The excitement is internal – it is in our DNA to see what we can do with what we have right NOW!
Last week, we did some experiments and I am so happy and proud that everyone – from the mentors, the team and our most wonderful students – has risen unto the occasion so gracefully.
The mentors have adapted to online teaching with amazing speed, re-preparing each of their sessions to align them with the virtual delivery platform.
And admittedly, some of us are not as technically gifted and adept as you young guns are 🙂 But boy, are we relishing it now!
The team ensured the smoothest possible communication and transition even without their usual resources and settings. That’s what behind-the-scenes perfection looks like.
And the students – you rockstars – you took to it like a duck to water. Your feedback, comments, enthusiasm and encouragement has made it all so worthwhile for us.
Over 90% of you have found the overall experience to be Excellent or Good.
Over 81% have rated it pretty close to the actual class-room experience.
And this will only get better with every passing session and as we act on the feedback shared by each one of you.
While we will recommence offline classes as soon as the situation allows for the same, the experience of the past week assures all of us that every day of the ‘lockdown’ can be put to productive use and to ensure a level-up with online CAT Preparation.
If your exams get postponed, or the lockdown situation continues for a prolonged period, your prep would be unaffected. Infact, every day, you will continue to “zoom” past 1000s of your competitors.
And time and resources permitting, we will even increase the number of sessions to ensure greater course coverage during this break so that we start hitting next levels with AIRCATs and online sectional tests soon.
As a family, we have turned this difficult period into an amazing opportunity, and the constraints into a new kind of freedom.
About the author: Deekshant has sleep-walked through several 100 and 99.9 %iles in practically every section of the CAT. That he is a cricket fan and he writes okay is evident from most of his posts. 1000s of our students swear that he can motivate almost anyone to double his/her percentile through very simple yet powerful inputs. And that’s why every MBAGuru student has direct access to him via mail and Telegram. Oddly, he somehow also finds the time to write songs professionally. And yes … almost missed this … he is an alumnus of IIT Delhi & IIM Cal
